Welcome to “Bloom’s Sixth”!
This blog is maintained by a group of University of Kansas faculty, post-docs, and grad students affiliated with the KU Center for Teaching Excellence (KU CTE). We share a passion for maximizing learning in university courses, and for sharing our experiences on a journey aimed at excellence in teaching.
The name of this blog speaks directly to the type of conversation we are engaged in, with reference to Bloom’s taxonomy. Bloom’s taxonomy classifies the most sophisticated type of learning at the sixth level of an inverted pyramid — Creating, Synthesizing, Designing.
We hope that the posts spur you to join us in conversation!
